How many miles can I go with a full tank of gas in a 2002 Chevy Tahoe 4x4

You have a 26 gallon gas tank and the EPA gas mileage estimate for your vehicle is 14 MPG around town and 17 on the highway. So around town about 364 miles until you're completely out of gas and or about 442 miles until you're completely out of gas on the highway. So to be safe I'd fill up at around 320 miles of town driving or at around 400 miles of highway driving. Also remember that those EPA estimates were when the vehicle was new and they're estimates, not set in stone. Your driving habits, vehicle condition, and any cargo you're carrying will affect your actual gas mileage. Hope that helps! Jim
My old Yukon only got 15 on the highway at 55 MPH and dropped to 10 in town. So you can't go by the EPA specs as those are performed under ideal environments to jack up the ratings. I would recommend you run fuel mileage tests yourself to see what it actually gets. another thing is you never want to let the fuel level drop below 1/4 tank.

I would get gas when the gauge hit 1/4 tank and write down the gallons , then multiply that by what I think my milage would be and add it to the odometer reading , then when you hit 1/4 tank again check results on the odometer , that'll give you an idea of what your milage is .
