Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A friend put in a new window regulator on the
driver side in my 2001 chevy tahoe but now when i
press the down button it goes up and when i press
the up button it goes down.

I cant just flip the plug around so do i have to take the wired out if the plug that goes into the motor flip that, put it back into the plug then replug into the motor?
