2001 tahoe 5.3.auto 2wd 300k .was driving on interstate w/cruise set at 70,climbing slight hill enfine died.coasted to stop,crank engine over just spins.cycle key a coulpe x's can hear fuel pump cranks idles rough,engine runs at idle rough idles at about 600 or so.as soon as you apply any throttle it dies,crank same scenario.thinking fuel pump is bad anything i may be overlooking?

No the check engine light did not come on until the engine died.all gauges and lights were normal before this
