The owners manual should have instructions where to locate the oil filter, oil fill, and oil drain plug. The recommended interval is 10,000 miles, but getting it done earlier might be beneficial for the long term. You may want to use synthetic oil too, but that doesn't mean you can wait longer between oil change intervals. You always want to change both oil and oil filter, and it's a good idea to pre-fill the filter before installation. You typically will drain the oil first, remover the old filter, then re-install new filter filled with oil, then add the correct amount of oil into the engine. Depending on your mechanical ability, time availability and budget, you may want to just get it done somewhere since it might get done quicker and for not much more than you can otherwise do it yourself.
