I have a 2006 monte carl ss with 5.3 engince. I want to boost power with a super charger. Is their any negative consequences in doing so? Thanks.

If you get greedy with the boost you will blow it up. Obviously this will cost a good bit of money and you should upgrade the engine cooling. If your transmission is weak it may be the first thing to go.

The biggest negative would be not passing smog inspection if you do not use smog legal parts.
