Lights dimming while sitting at light,alt gauge goes way down.

Lights dim when at red light, gauge goes way down, when I step on gas gauge goes up
and lights ok. Doesn't happen all the Tim. Have new battery and changed alt 3 times. Any
ideas. Thanks

Sounds like bad alternator. If I'm correct that gauge should read 14 volts, roughly.
Found the problem. Noticed the RPMs were down to about 500 and should be a little over 600. These alternators have a saver mode if rpms are too low. Cleaned the throttle body which brought the rpms up to where it should be and have not had a problem since
I have the same problems with my 2006 trailblazer LS lights blinking when I first turn the car on when im just setting still I change the alternator twice and it still doing the same thing and sometimes when I put it n reverse it shout off somebody please tell me what WRONG
