Fuze

Asked by Avery_17 Dec 29, 2016 at 01:53 PM about the 2001 Subaru Outback H6-3.0 VDC

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2001 Subaru outback h6 VDC, has had a VDC
off light on since I bought the car used. I took a
look at the fuze in the fuze box for it and there was
a 20 fuze in the spot a 50 fuze was supposed to
be. Would the 20 have blown if there is supposed
to be a 50 in the spot? Idk if it's the fuze or the VDC
system.

It is very possible that a 20 amp fuse would blow when a 50 amp should be in the circuit. Try a 50 to see if it holds. The last owner may not have had the proper fuse to begin with. If the proper fuse blows then obviously there is an issue with the system.
