my 2000 outback is over heating ive replaced radiator and thermostat,how can you tell if the water pump is pumping properly

it is driven off of the timing belt most likely. If your car runs your timing belt is not broken and if your timing belt is not broken your water pump is spinning and cycling coolant. id suspect head gaskets or an air pocket in the cooling system because of not properly bleeding the system
