Porsche Cayenne mechanical issues

Do not buy an 06. There was no 07 -- they took a year off to fix all the problems in the 1st generation, and started again in 08. I hear much bad about 10 to 13, and know first hand much bad about the 04-06, but I have not heard much about the 08-09.
I have a Cayenne S 2006, 130.000 miles. Repairs this year: coolant pipes ($ 2000), AC compressor ($ 1200), brakes and rotors ($ 1200). Needs 1 quart of Mobil 1 every 800 miles and new spark plugs every 6 months. Tires won't last more than 15.000 miles and cost at least $ 1400 unless you go for noisy Chinese ones.

Sorry to hear that everyone here has had several maintenance issues with their Porsche. My 2005, Cayenne has been a gem! Regular maintenance for oil change, and brake pads. Only high tech gasoline. There were only two recalls in 15 years. I use a independent Porsche mechanic. She has 147K, and drives like a top. The plastic interior trim does have a tendency to break, but I have been able to find trim online. I owned a 2017 Cayenne also- sold it. Not nearly as reliable with two recalls within two years.
