I have a 2003 Lincoln LS: V8; the problem is my air was working fine a week ago, but now it's blowing cool air. The compressor is running or working but the air is still just cool? What the problem?

There is an easy way to figure out if its air flaps or a/c cooling problem. If your blowing warm air/ ambient temp its an a/c cooling proglem if your blowing air hotter than ambient its a air flap problem. checked the blend air door actuators. found like its not working. hope this info helps

also feel the ac lines. touch the low pressure line is should be cold. if its warm then its a cooling system problem... then go on from there. isolate your problem its more cost efective that way

I had the same problem recently. Ended up to be the A/C expansion valve. Cheap part, much labor. Center console has to come out. Drop steering wheel, dashboard has to come out. Expansion valve is mounted on the fire wall. But you must get at it from the drivers compartment. My problem was solved. Ah, ice cold air again. But yes, as previously posted above, feel hoses and troubleshoot/isolate the problem

If it ends up to be a cooling challenge//problem....it could be a simple as your (1) bad thermostat, or a (2) worn out fan pump, these have an elec/hyd fan and a bad module that has 4 or 5 hoses connected to it and 2 relays on top that controls the heating and cooling. $1800 to repair. Had it quoted by an Independent garage.
