rear shock compressor won't stop running why

Asked by Brettwesley123 Jul 20, 2015 at 04:32 PM about the 2001 BMW X5 4.4i AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2001 BMW X5 4.4i has self leveling rear shocks with a compressor that sits over the
spare tire. when I park it will not level properly and runs constantly until the battery is
completely dead. Does any know why or what is broken between the air hoses, the air
hose fittings, the switches on the shocks, the shocks or the compressor?

Can not tell you exactly where its leaking from since I can not check it out myself but you do have a leak some where in the system.
