HELP!!!!! A Lady
01 BMW X5 - knocking
badly. I smell gas in
the coolant "tank".
After reading I suspect
a head gasket issue!
Prior to the issue
(approx 1yr) i had
water pump and
radiator issues. Both
"fixed". Post
"operation" i continued
to lose coolant but the
warning light didn't
warn! Checked the
coolant (leary since
operation). Was
almost bone dry. Filled
with water; drove it.
Ran fine to work
(approx 30 miles).
Leaving it was rough
and knocking...
Seemed to run fine (no
knocking on freeway).
BUT, by the time i got
off the freeway...
Omg!!! It was so loud
and knocking,
especially at stand
still! I was suspect @
bad gas because the
noise appeared to be
coming from rear, like
bad gas??? I
attempted to start it in
the a.m. with hood
lifted and!!!! Definitely
from the engine not
rear end
Let it sit about two
days (sad and
disgusted). When i
tried to start it again, i
couldn't get it to start.
After allowing gas to
to flow (4 sec wait
after turning key
forward) turning the
key all the way only
profited the sound as if
were struck in between
connect and start; a
constant rrrrrr'ing.
Started reading ran
into diagnosis (sounds
like my equal) the
remedy was Pour n Go
head gasket repair.
Anyone out there
agree i should try it?
