intermittent starting problems, 2005 Sante Fe, (no crank, no start) We/ve had this problems several times in the past few months.

Asked by udabest1 Aug 24, 2015 at 02:07 PM about the 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We did a battery load test & everything checked out ok. This weekend the problem came back, cleaned the corroded battery terminals & found that the positive post on the battery was loose from the casing & when checking the wires, found the terminal would spin when I checked the tightness of the terminals. When turning the key switch the panel lights up & i can hear the click when I attempt to start.  It would click but engine won't start. Do you think I have a starter/solenoid problem?

check both ends of both cables/gronds/block/frame...hit starter with a hammer a few times and report back.
