Take it to get a read out for faults codes on the ECM. This engine is known for the cam sensors to go bad and give extended crank. Read and if you have faults codes for cam position sensors I recommend you to replace both. Easy repair anybody can doit Good luck

Thanks Krankenwagen2010 I took your advise and got a reading and it came back that the bank1 sensor needed to be replaced. I changed that and I still have the same problem so I also changed the crankshaft position sensor and I have the same problem. Do you have any more suggestions?

Do you remember what was the fault codes. Also remember you have 2 cam sensors and you should replace both. After you replace the sensors and clear the faults did anything came back?

my mechanic says he cannot get yo the transmission stick to check if it needs fluid. Can that be correct. I am driving my grandsons car and the "slip" word came on . A friend told me to rev in "neutral" and I was able to drive, but worried!
