BATTERY LIGHT WONT GO OFF

Battery light on means there is an issue with the battery, alternator or wiring. Measure with a DC voltmeter the voltage at the battery with the engine running. This voltage should be around 14.0 volts plus or minus .6 volts or so. If it is lower than 13 that tells me the alternator is not charging the battery. It could be an issue with the wiring that runs from the alternator to the battery or possibly a fuse or fusible link is bad.
You need to check the volts at the battery and the alternator with everything off in the car put the volt meter on the battery and have someone start the car your reading should be between 13.5 to 14.4 volts then you will need the check the voltage at the alternator that should be about 14 to 15 volts, if your voltage is higher at the alternator and lower at the battery then its possible cause will be bad wiring from the alternator to the battery. the light will come on if the volts drop to about 10 volts..

Hey buddy .disconnect your negative terminal only.wrap it in anything like an old rag where it won't touch the negative battery post wait 25-30 minutes and reconnect it quick without it sparking because the positive cables still connected .tighyen it up staryr it up the computer always resets itself and your light will go off ok .good luck been doing this on all dodge .Chrysler 300.good luck been doing this since when computers came out in the late 80s up.
@GuruBXHT6, did u ever figure out what was wrong? Mines doing the same thing. I thought maybe it jumped timing but now I wonder if my alternator is going out or not.
