After market stereo?

Asked by Steven Mar 17, 2010 at 11:43 AM about the 2004 Buick Century Sedan FWD

Question type: Car Customization

I was wondering if anyone can assist, or direct me somewhere, that could help me learn more about replacing the factory stereo with an after market one, in the newer buicks (2004 buick century, to be specific). The place here wants $150 for the cheapest POS CD player, and walmart had one with everything i need/want for $50 that i have had for alil over a year now. Plus another $150 for a "wiring harness" and $55/hour. If i can get alil more info, I can save $300+ that is unneeded.

It is possible to wire it up yourself if you do some research online. It's just requires a good bit of wiring and some electrical know how. Something like this or one of the many other sites out there can help with this process: http://www.crutchfield.com/Learn/learningcenter/car/car_stereo/installation_guide.html
