What could be causing my fuel injection sensor to keep burning out ?

My service engine soon light was on, I knew it was an emission issue because the general code that popped up was p0446, I had a mechanic shop run a thorough diagnostic on it. They found that the fuel injection sensor was bad but when they replaced it and ran testing it would eventually go bad, this happened twice and they could not figure out what could possibly be causing it. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Thank you Jim, They tend to think it's more than likely a wiring problem but they do not have to equipment to actually know for sure. They suggested I take it to a Buick dealership to see if they could further asses it. You wouldn't happen to know if there is any way to figure out which wire is the culprit ? Thanks. Kree
