Car Amp Problem

Asked by Zforce_9246 Mar 12, 2019 at 12:46 AM about the 2005 Mazda RX-8 6-Speed

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am having a very weird problem with my sound
system. My audio player turns on but there is no
sound. So i tried many things but couldn't fix it.
But i figured out that when i keep my car in Sun
and the amp(located at the back)is warm/hot due
to heat the sound system is working.
Againg when it gets cold there is no sound.
How to fix this problem?
Or what should I do?

I am having the same problem. Checked fuses (not the issue). Replaced the head unit (not the issue). Everything on the unit is operating and displaying -- but no audio sound. There is a light tapping/clicking noise. When temp increased the sound comes on and stays on. First started happening at temperatures near freezing. Over a year the temp threshold has increased. Now only get sound when temp is over 65 degrees.
