Advice on an 05 rx8 with a short!

I'm supposed to go look at an 05 rx8
later this afternoon.. the ad said the
abs module needs to be replaced,
however the guy just called me and
said that module is making the fans
shut off, some lights work, and it won't
shift correctly so I'd have to have done
way to get it home. I already had
someone in place to install the
module, but that to me just sounds like
something different. Could the abs
module shorting out actually cause
these problems? And if it could, would
changing it solve all the problems at
once or would I have to get each
individual part replaced?

Sounds like the car has multiple problems that will need to be repaired if you purchase it. I would find a different RX8 that has no or minimal issues to purchase unless the guy is giving it away and your ok with chasing down the problems. You can also check the RX8 forum and see whatthose guys say since they deal with these rotory powered car all the time. Good Luck

Thanks for replying :) it is at a good price, I'm just not sure if by the time I figure out the problem I'll still be able to say that. I'll only have about a grand to put into fixing it, and while I can get the parts and installation done pretty cheap, I'm worried if there's a million things wrong with it it'll end up putting me over my budget. I'm trying to figure out if anyone else has had these problems to see if it'd be worth it in the end ♡

Thanks, I turned down the meet. He wasn't upfront with me and things kept coming out little by little. I didn't feel I could trust him & I didn't like that.
