2004 crown Victoria

I have an 04 crown Victoria bought an new
alternator and also an new battery but the
altenator is still not keeping battery charged runs
for about 30 secs then shuts off then I have to give
it another boost

scan for codes even if the light ain't on , there may be a bad sensor causing default , the computer will shut it off , ? ?

also does it have a internal, or External voltage regulator ? it should be chanced at the same time, also have your new Alt tested, I have installed many new out of the box, and they were defective !

make sure a new alt. is paired with a charged batt. a dead one may ruin the new alt.
