Metering oil pump error code

The last few days I've had a problem with my truck
cranking sometimes when you turn it over it wont
do anything no lights no sounds nothing for two
seconds and then it will turn over crank and run as
normal it doesn't happen every time and it has just
started the last couple days I'm thinking this is a
loose or bad ground I went to crank it up this
morning it cranks right up no problem but the
check engine light came on the error code was for
the metering oil pump malfunction but it runs fine
sounds fine and none of my gauges are off I was
wondering if anybody had any experience or advice
in this before I start trying to deal with shops

Get the definition of the code , could be a sending unit on the side of the motor , don't drive it till you get it fixed so you don't get stuck .If you had an oil pressure problem it would not run fine , Some vehicles won't run with trouble codes ..
