2007 Silverado 1500 5.3 fuel pump not turning on

The fuel pump comes on for 2-3 seconds when you turn the key on. Truck
starts and runs for a few seconds til it runs out of gas because the fuel pump
does not come back on.

At the engine compartment Fusible Box, Check: With a Test Lamp Fuel pump relay operation at terminal pin 87: To Energize up the Fuel pump relay: Remove relay from vehicle, Use a RED 3-alligator clips jumper wire between Positive Battery Terminal and relay terminal pin 30 and terminal pin 86. Use a Black 2-alligator clips jumper wire between NEG Battery Terminal and relay terminal pin 85. Now with the Test Lamp connected as well at NEG Battery Terminal check for current (power) at pin 87. If Test Lamp light does not come ON replace relay. This answer is based in own experience. Thanks
