Bushings on the motor mount

Asked by Kayla Jan 25, 2018 at 07:48 PM about the 2007 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT Quad Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So my boyfriend said that he walked into the
car shop the other day and was asking
questions on what he needed to do, or if it
was needed to change the bushings on his
motor mounts. The questions he was
asking, as he put it the michanics were just
looking at him like he was ether stupid or
crazy. I guess my question is what needs to
be done with the bushings? he already has
the mounts out, and what needs to be done
like step by step.

That's why they were looking at him funny. You don't replace the bushings on the motor mounts, they are molded onto the bracket. Just order the motor mount and they will give you a complete motor mount ready to install.
