fuel

Asked by michaelm1976 Mar 11, 2012 at 11:03 AM about the 2007 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: General

Holds fuel pressure at 60 psi untill reaching a higher rpm then drops to 40 psi and stalls out it fluctuates back n
forth. It started at 4000 rpms but now it is around 1800 rpms and getting worse. This happened over a period of 5
days. I'm thinking it is the fuel pump due to the symptoms of a miss fire and a fuel labor nock and lose of power.
Anyone have any ideas?

The fuel pressure drop is the clue. Yes, you either have a blocked fuel line or need a fuel pump.
