On my 2000 Dodge Dakota quad cab. The
passenger side window will not move when I crank
it. What is the cause. And what are the steps to
fixing the problem myself

the plastic gears that connect the crank to the action are more than likely broken remove crank unbolt the door panel from the door and look inside if it fell off the track place back on track if gears are worn out go to a part store or u pull it and grab a gear out of one there.

might even just need a new crank handle metal teeth on car vs plastic teeth on crank arm it pops right off pull it straight off there is a recess that the plastic bites into that you have to pop it off of
