Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an '07 2500 HD w/6.0L gas & 6 speed auto trans. In my owners manual, it lists two possible types of tranny's, a 6L80E, & a 6L90E. I was wondering how to tell the difference & WHAT is the difference in the tranny's??

Yes a 1500 will come with the 6L80e. The HD trucks get the HD transmission (6L90e)

I have 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 HD; it shifts fine until the transmission warms up 150 degrees and then it shifts hard going into second gear.
