6" Rcd lift affect towing?
will 2007 chev crew 4x4 duramax with 6" lift added adversely affect tow handling of 10,000 lb toyhauler?
You will of course have to drop your hitch to the same amount as you lift the Silverado, I really don't know that a lift of 6" on your Silverado would effect the tow handling, personally if it were mine I would not lift it. I would feel safer with a lower center of gravity on my tow vehicle with such a heavy trailer. 5 tons is a lot of trailer. especially on a hitch, as opposed to a 5th wheel, and you might consider going to a pintle hitch instead of a ball. They are stronger. The very highest rated ball is a 2 5/16" ball and a 1 1/4" shank, and they are 10000 maximum. Your are really pushing the limits towing 5 tons with a ball. Now please forgive me if you already use a pintle, I just felt I should point that out and I was not thinking 5th wheel at all with a Silverado.
