Sounds like your heater core is leaking. Does it smell like anti-freeze?

My 04 had this problem but i noticed it just a few months after purchasing the vehicle in 04 so it was under Warranty still. Turned out the firewall wasn't welded properly on the assembly line so when i drove through any deep puddles or areas of water fast enough water would leak in. The dealer had to take the engine out to weld it. Did you get a New windshield before the issue occurred? It could also be a bad seal there, i had that happen once as well after going to a discount repair shop.
If it's an extreme case that's been going on for awhile your moisture can build up, and if not allowed to dry keep getting worse where you may think you have a major leak. Another problem other than heater core is your cabin filter unit, the blend door actuator have been know to fail in many G.M. vehicles, only time this will cause a "very noticeable" problem is in cold weather, hot air being recirculated will build up moisture immediately!
