Rebuild or buy new?

My question is this:  I love the 1993 Mustang, and I will be in the position to purchase a new car by the end of the year.  I am wondering about the idea of buying a 1993 Mustang, and having it rebuilt - engine, transmission, etc. or spend more and get a new Mustang.

I say buy new if you can. Probably going to spend more money on maintenance on a 14 year old car compared to a brand new one. You could always get one that is a few years old.
