1997 Chevy stuck in park.
My 97 Chevy silverado truck gets stuck in park
and will not let me shift to park what do I do? It
only says 2007 but my truck is a 1997.....

If you have to step on the brake to start it could be the brake switch with is just above the pedal... or it could be in the steering column.. I had this problem on a 99 Tahoe and I used some electrical contact lube on the plunger and it has worked ever since, sometimes I could pump the brake pedal and it would work, but not the most reliable way as it is not a fix might just get you going..
