is it possible for me to get my gear shifter moved from the steering wheel to the center console on the floor in my 2008 Chevrolet impala?If so how much are parts and labor?

hmmm, id assume u could but it would be a serious custom job, cutting out floor panels, most likely somehow moving the transmission, if people say u dont have to move the tranny, then u would probably have to have custom shift link arms...dont quote me on any of this, ive heard of it being done , but only by those crazy custom guys on TV hahah

Uh your not converting it to rwd from fwd your just moving the shifter? Just junkyard all the parts from a console car. Need the shifter and console and bracketry. Not sure about the cables tho.

I was thinking of doing the opposite on my 2010 impala. Going from a floor shifter to a column shifter. I could be wrong but I think the shifting is done electronically instead of with linkage.
