can you replace the tire size ?

If we replace all four tires with the same size tires can we go from 235/50/r18s
to 235/55/r18s on a chevy impala 2008 ?

The 55 series tires will have a slightly taller profile but it should fit inside the fenders without rubbing. But I would check to make sure it didn’t change the speedometer/odometer calibration as you maybe going faster then what the speedometer reads.

I would say No. While the tires are the same width, they are an extra inch taller, pushing them out more than the 3 percent allowable difference from the OEM size. plus the might rub the wheel liners up front.

And cause a problem with the TPMS system plus your speedometer will not show the actual speed you're traveling. Hope that helps! Jim
