how do you reset after oil change

Turn on the car. Press the Setup button twice, the display should say OIL LIFE = xxx% HOLD RESET = NEW

Was looking at an used Ford Escape 2009 for sale and I test drove around but the "oil change service needed" indicator still on display, even it has changed 4 months prior (synethic oil) and not been driven for while... Should it give me a red flag warning that despite the recent oil change that something else wrong with engine!??

On a Ford Escape 2013, to reset the change oil service required signal off...you turn the key on WITHOUT cranking the engine and press the brake and the accelerator at the same time...hold into you see a sign saying that the reset is in progress...it will take like 30 seconds to clear the oil change required sign until you see that the display says reset oil change warning sign COMPLETE!!!!....VOILA!!!!

I did an oil change on my 2013 Ford Taurus. The indicator says 30% oil life prior to the change. The mechanic forget to reset the indicator. How do I reset it?
