How do i use my heater in my ford tarus x 2008

it should work with the selector switch. Does the defrost work and AC? This switch is mechanical vacuum operated to the blend doors and if when you select heat you hear a click under the dash it is most likely a broken blend door actuator .
Post a photo of the heater controls.
tried to up load resize and post to no avail
