Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got a 2008 Altima and today it didn't want to shift out it
was barely moving and started to jerk a little. It drove slow
all the way home. What can be the problem???

The CVT is probably shot. In case you have not heard the Nissan CVT is probably the worst transmission ever made.

Check with Nissan to see if your car qualifies for a replacement under extended warranty. I think your car is too old but it cannot hurt to check.
