no power after changing the battery

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
After changing the battery the car does not want to start. It will crank but will not turn over. It never had a problem until we put a new battery in it. Is there something that needs done after changing the battery?

If the battery is strong enough to crank the engine, I would look at what might have been knocked loose when the battery was changed. Look at the connections for the main coil/distributor lead or fuel supply line connection.

We put it on a scanner a friend had and it says something about not enough voltage to the fuel pump....so not sure what is going on. Pulls codes P1682 and P0230. The next step i am thinking is just to take it to a shop and hope it wont cost a bunch to get it runnin.
