Water pump replacement

Asked by Sonja Feb 06, 2017 at 01:11 PM about the 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2008 grand prix gxp waterpump. 5.3L, V8.
I bought the water pump already. How difficult is
this to change? How long should it take a trained
mechanic to change it?

1 Answer

Unless you have the tools and some experience I would have a pro do it. It should not take them more than 2 or 3 hours to do the job.
