08 buick lucerne

Asked by GuruWW1CM Apr 23, 2018 at 04:49 PM about the 2008 Buick Lucerne CXL FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Same as every1 else. Replaced fuse block AGAIN,
replaced fuel pump. Can hear the pump turn on
when key is in on position. Still no start. Not even
firing AT ALL. Am i missing something?

you should test things before replacing them , you need to test for proper fuel pressure and spark some vehicles are particular just having them won't do , , and see if the injectors are firing

Mine was doing the same thing. I changed out fuel pump relay and had diagnostic run on it and it pulled a code for cat converter and O2 sensors. Also the battery was drained down to a 31% charge due to months of crank, no starts. It also threw a code for throttle actuator control module. Replaced battery, catalytic converter, O2 sensors and module for throttle body and no problems now

We tested for fuel pump and injectors using starter fluid in the breather and it cranked right up so we eliminated fuel pump relay, fuel pump and injectors then ran a diagnostic
