Will a Bad oil pressure sensor in Tahoe cause the vehicle to not start?.

I'm about 90% sure my oil pressure sensor is bad I checked the oil Motors got
oil in it, I'm the process of fixing it but having to wait for the tool to help take the
fuel line off so that Im able to reach it. Check engine light is on. The dealer I
bought it from said that the ECU needed a Upgrade? I don't really trust
salesman.

Dnt buy the upgrading bs... and no a oil pressure sensor will not cause a car to shut off

Its hasnt shut off on me, It just wont start now, Bought it yesterday.
