trouble starting up after getting gas

I have an 08 z71 Tahoe and every time I get gas it always has trouble starting
up just runs throw the starter and I turn it off and turn it back on and then it will
crank over but starts at a very low idle and is rough for a few seconds then
goes back to normal. only ever happens when getting gas starts up perfectly
fine very other time. what do I do? and bring up code P0496

Try putting a new vapor purge solenoid on it. Most likely yours is not closing and letting excessive fuel vapors into the engine causing it to be flooded with fuel vapor. The purge solenoid is normally closed.
