Wheel bearings? If so that sounds high. Get another price to double check that quote.
My 2007 Corolla had a faulty wheel bearing (diagnosed by Jesse James at my local Pep Boys who wanted $460 plus alignment to replace it), and went to a salvage yard and got one for $37. Internet site showed how easy it was to replace. Did it in one hour. Got a wheel alignment for $35. Saved more than $400 and no more bearing noise.
I need to clarify my last answer. The part that I purchased from the salvage yard was the entire steering knuckle that houses the wheel bearing. The ease of changing the steering knucke out was that I didn't have to remove and install a new bearing. In retrospect, replacing the entire assembly was a lot easier.
Don't go to Firestone-
