What is wrong when your 2008 Saturn Aura keeps stopping on you even if you replaced the alternator?

Maybe the alternator was not the problem

Can you give more information about stopping on you. Is it shutting off on you at every stop and will it start back up right away or does it take a few minutes ?

It stops every now and then. I put a new battery and alternator in it. My lights work but it won't turn. It will run for awhile and I can drive it with no problems then it will just stop on me.

Will it start back up or do you need to get a jump ?

Have you had the alternator tested and if so what was the voltage reading and is the battery light on ?

Lets go back to when the problem first occurred ... it stopped, so now I will assume it restarted and you got it home. Did it get home without stopping? Does it start to stumble before it quits or does it just quit? Did you just get gas before this happened? Was your fuel pump checked by a mechanic? Who diagnosed a bad battery/alternator?
