How to replace 2008 legacy rear view mirror

Asked by Dom_buckingham Jul 07, 2014 at 07:43 PM about the 2008 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 subaru legacy who's wires (power the compass) were ripped out of the
rear view mirror. I'd like to fix this myself without all the fuss of a mechanic. I know how to
unhook the mirror from the windshield but I do not know how to open the mirror or how to
get to the wiring inside the headliner without having to rip it open. Is there a more simple
way to get this job done?
