Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought a new Passat SW which I like a lot. Recently, on a highway trip, I noticed that the front passenger side CV joint felt like it was going to fall of...What I mean by that is the wheel felt very bouncy.

The service writer told me that would go through the process of rotating the tires, balancing the tires, and, last case, put new tires on to see if that helps. But he said that if it didn't then it was probably how the car drives...

Anybody heard of that?

Thank you,
c

you could have a bad strut,i would rotate tires,if no change ,not the tires also check for bent wheel.

Could also be a wheel bearing. I don't know how you narrowed it to the CV joint, but wheel bearing and outer CV joint are close enough that one could be mistaken for the other.
