2008 VW Jetta fan relay switch

Asked by cyclone259 Jul 11, 2016 at 02:55 PM about the 2008 Volkswagen Jetta S

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My check engine light keeps coming off, then goes off. The code I received was in relation to the 'fan relay switch', but I haven't noticed anything odd: the fan DOESN'T run all the time, the car doesn't overheat, there's no odd noises, etc. Is this something that really needs attention and if so, what part do I need exactly and where is it located (I want to try repairs myself if I can). Please help!
