electircal problem on my volkswagon jetta 2008

Had an accident in the car on the right side mostly was damaged on the car. Had to change my battery and my alternator even then my car started up but when i would drive it the car would for a liitle while then it would stop i would have to get a jump just for it to keep on going. To me its like the car running off the battery at this time...firts it was the alternator drainning the battery now this mechanic saying that its a electical problem im having wit my car. I really want to keep my car ,but  i dont kow if something else would be wrong with it after this problem...

im not sure why you would need to replace an alternator and battery after an accident especialy since the battery is on the drivers side. How bad was the damage ? was it minor or major? did it push in your wheel to the point that the inner wall was hitting the engine?
