I am trying to remove my crank shaft pulley bolt but both the pulley and bolt keep spinning and I am moving the car. This is on a 2008 Mustang GT. Is this normal?

If standard transmission then yes it will try to move the car when you try to remove the bolt. That is if the bolt is stuck. Might want to try a 1/2- 3/4 inch impact wrench to break it free.
