Ford Mustang GT Tail Light Problem

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2008 Mustang GT Premium. When I turn the car
off, the tail lights stay on. The only way I can get them to go
off is if I disconnect the battery. What could be the
problem?

passenger side junction box under the glove box on the right side. 06-08 mustangs have a water leak problem that can get into this box and short it out causing light issues all around the car depending on what got wet
If the problem is as Wes says it means a new fuse box. My Ford Expedition needed a new fuse box which cost around $400 for the part. The installation was easy.
Have a 2008 California special Shelby mustang gt. Just received a warning that my brake light s are not working. from local PD. Took car to ford and all the light are working okay. They stated that the light were to dim. Ford checked it out, and they were working fine. What would be the best way to check for bad wires without coasting a arm and a leg.
For the California Special, sometimes the lights work on and off when the filament is loose or it's getting too old. A good way to check is to hit your alarm button see if the lights work and then use the brakes to see if there is a difference. If it is that problem soon enough the light will go out all together. As for testing the wiring, need an actual voltmeter if you don't want a mechanic to check it out. Generally with that though the mechanic or Ford will charge around a hundred For the original post, never actually got a message from CarGurus until today so sorry for no answer. Another thing to check is the cowl between the engine bay and windshield. You'll get a better look of it with the hood up. This is where the water collects when it is not able to drain. Unfortunately cost for the fuse box but I'm betting you already found out and for the cowl it should be pretty cheap because it is easy to take off to get it cleaned and then put back on
