Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I just recently purchased a Subaru Outback
2008 from a used car lot. They claimed to not have
any service records besides a Carfax, but I still
went ahead and purchased it after my mechanic
inspected it and told me about the problems he
saw and was able to haggle about 1k off the price.
So I found the records in the back seat actually
and started to go through and organized the
repairs by owner (2). The previous owners biggest
bill was for a cat converter replacement at 142K
and then he actually got it replaced again at 145K
because the part was “bad” so here I am at 150k
miles and the cat is going AGAIN with the car
lurching when I step on the gas and only reaching
about 30 MPH with the RPM at 4. Not drivable but
I’m just beyond lost as to what would cause a car
to destroy 3 Cat converters in less than 10K Miles?
I’m thinking it might be the Fuel injector? But any
other suggestions?
