I have an 08 infiniti g37s coupe. When I accelerate the brake light comes on followed by the VDC and SLIP lights and then the brake light goes off. What does that generally mean?

this means in most cases the brake fluid level is low top it up . if your brake fluid is old like haven't been changed since 75,000 km it should be changed , in other cases there is a leak (if showed continuously for a few minutes or more )

Oh ok. well i check my levels and though my brake fluid was not at the MAX line, it was well above the MIN line. but i will try to change it and see if that works and put some fresh brake fluid in. i hope it works. thank you for the advice. do you have anymore advice when it comes to this specific car?

When the brake pads wear due to normal use the brake fluid level will go down. The low brake fluid warning is an early indicator that your brakes are nearing replacement. Be aware of this and check your brake pad wear before filling the brake fluid reservoir. I had this same issue on my G37x and the brake pads were down to 20-30% life remaining acccording to the dealer.

I have a 08 Infiniti g37 coupe. When I come to a complete stop every blue moon, and I accelerate I then here some type of knock or raddle coming from under the car. I had the rear exhaust replace a month ago which I thought could be the problem maybe something was lose but the Infiniti dealership said everything is ok. The dealership ran test on my car 2 times within a month, and still could not find any type of knock or raddle coming from under the car. Can someone help me because I need know what does that generally mean?

The owners manual for my 2010 infiniti coupe convertible says that sound is perfectly normal. It says it occurs because the car has a diagnostic test that it runs and that is a sound it makes when the test is ran. Like you, I was wondering what in the world the sound was. Glad I read the book, otherwise, I would have thought my car was coming apart. Teresa

Got the same problem on my 2012 and it was my back brake pads that were not good anymore arround 10% left. We replace it and the problems went a way. The car use the brake to control the slips of any given wheel. The car is more a rear wheel drive then anything so lots of power goes to the back and the rear wheel slips more so the rear brake are important in the stability control systems .
